Six people to ride the Ferris wheel.
TICKETS NEEDED:
BULK SAVINGS:
Four friends to ride the carousel and Ferris wheel and share 1 tub of popcorn, 2 hot dogs, and 2 drinks.
A group of 10 each buy a hot dog and a drink and share 4 tubs of popcorn. Then they each throw 6 darts at the balloon game.
Often places will give you discounts for buying in bulk.
You want to buy 1 tub of popcorn and ride the carousel 2 times. What’s the best way to buy tickets? How much will you save?
Find the total tickets you need:
Tub of popcorn: 4 tickets
Carousel: 2 rides 2 tickets per ride = 4 tickets
Total: 8 tickets
Compare prices:
8 tickets at $1 per ticket = $8
6 tickets for $5 + 2 tickets for $1 = $5 + $2 = $7
$8 – $7 = $1
So you will save $1.
