Jen Stark

The colorful sculpture above might make you a little dizzy. Jen Stark’s artworks are inspired by math and science. “I love how there are these universal equations happening all around us, like fractals and spirals and Fibonacci sequences,” Stark says. A fractal is a complex pattern that infinitely repeats when you zoom in and zoom out.

Stark is also inspired by the natural world, like the bright colors of pollinator-attracting flowers and predator-repelling, poisonous insects.

Stark likes to play with 2- and 3-D space. Some of her works are organic, while others are more geometric and resemble what you see through a kaleidoscope.
