This candy isn’t made in a kitchen—it’s printed! The Sugar Lab in Los Angeles, California, uses 3-D printers to make its stylish sweets. “We can produce things in any shape, flavor, or color, and we can do it very quickly,” says Meagan Bozeman, co-founder of the company.
The Sugar Lab uses science and technology to create its unique confections. It’s made geometric cake toppers, shells in the shape of a honeycomb with lavender filling, and rainbow glitter drops that add sparkle to drinks.
The lab’s candy designers are now experimenting with savory options like cubes to drop into soups. “We are delivering something that nobody has experienced before,” says Bozeman.
