Stripes are in for a new batch of airplanes in Germany! The airline Condor recently added 16 new planes to its fleet and gave the aircraft a new look in the process. The newly decorated planes feature bold stripes in five vacation-themed colors: Island (green), Sunshine (orange), Sea (blue), Passion (red), and Beach (tan).
“Condor is highlighting the diversity of its employees, its guests, and its destinations,” says Johanna Tillmann, a representative for the airline. And the planes look cool too!
Condor now has a total of 90 planes. Only the new 16 were painted in bright stripes. What is the ratio of striped planes to non-striped planes in simplest form? Record your work and answer on our Numbers in the News answer sheet.
