The Croods are Back!
DreamWorks Animation LLC
This caring cavemen crew is back in action! The Croods: A New Age hits theaters on Thanksgiving Day. It’s the sequel to the 2013 movie The Croods, which follows a family of cavemen. In this installment, the Croods are navigating a changing world—and find the Bettermans. This is the first other family the Croods have ever met. The Bettermans, with their elaborate tree house and irrigated farmland, seem better than the Croods in every way. But when things get dangerous, the Croods show they’re not ready to go extinct yet!
The teen daughters of the two families, Eep Crood and Dawn Betterman, go on an adventure beyond the Bettermans’ protective wall. The wall is 624 feet long and made of 6,500 bamboo poles. How many bamboo poles are there per foot, rounded to the nearest whole number? Record your work and answer on our Numbers in the News answer sheet.
