Girls Get Ball Cards
Courtesy of Athletes Unlimited/Topps
Since 1949, the Topps Company has printed collectible trading cards. Most feature athletes from baseball, football, hockey, and more. But for the first time, Topps trading cards now feature pro softball players in its Athletes Unlimited Softball set.
Released last September, the online-only set features 56 softball players from around the world. The 2020 Athletes Unlimited event was a six-week-long competition where the top players from the previous game pick new teams each week, much like Fantasy Football.
Of the 56 athletes in the card set, 17 have played softball in the Olympics. What is the probability of randomly picking a non-Olympian from the set? Record your work and answer on our Numbers in the News answer sheet.
