Stylish Drones
Human models are so last season—purse-toting drones are the latest style! The audience at Fashion Week in Milan, Italy, got a high-tech surprise during luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana’s runway show. Quadcopter drones showed off the brand’s purses. Before the drones’ runway “walk,” the audience was asked to disconnect from Wi-Fi. That’s because Wi-Fi use would have interfered with the operators’ ability to control the drones.
After the drones had their turn in the spotlight, human models took to the runway to show off the brand’s clothing. Perhaps human models aren’t so outdated after all!
A standard drone can carry objects weighing up to 3 pounds. Write an inequality showing the possible weights for a bag shown in the fashion show, using b as the variable. Record your work and answer on our Numbers in the News answer sheet.
