Have you noticed a lack of conversation-starting candy hearts this Valentine’s Day? It’s the first time in more than 100 years that Sweethearts candies won’t be on store shelves. That’s because the New England Confectionary Company (NECCO), which makes the treats, almost closed down. But it was bought by another company, called Spangler, which makes Dum Dum lollipops. So the colorful sugar candies should be back in time for Valentine’s Day in 2020!
