Star Wars: The Last Jedi

The newest installment in the Star Wars saga, The Last Jedi, blasts into theaters this month. Rey, Finn, Poe, and BB-8 are back, along with some new friends, like the mysterious Rose Tico. Played by Kelly Marie Tran, Rose is a Resistance mechanic who goes on a mission with Finn—and that’s all we know.

Tran is the first Asian-American actress to have a leading role in a Star Wars film. “It was so fun, being given this all-access pass,” she says. “I got to watch other people film even if I wasn’t in the scene.” But even Tran doesn’t know what will make it into the final cut. “It’s nerve-racking—I won’t know until you do!”
