Winter is here, and so are the holidays! What better way to celebrate than with an ugly holiday sweater?
The original holiday sweater trend started in the 1950s. Called “Jingle Bell Sweaters,” these early garments were simple knitted sweaters with winter scenes like ice-skating or Christmas trees. Since the 1980s, wearing wacky and tacky sweaters to celebrate the winter holidays has swept the country.
Today’s sweaters can be over the top with silly sayings, characters, and even extra sparkles and lights!
